Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Andrea Davis, MPA, has been named the new leader of WVC, a nonprofit group whose annual conference draws thousands of veterinary professionals to Las Vegas each February.
Davis replaces interim CEO Stephanie Gerling, who took over when longtime chief David Little left the organization in February 2019.
“After a long, competitive selection process, we are fortunate to have someone of Andrea’s caliber and experience step up to lead WVC,” said Dennis McCurnin, DVM, MS, DACVS, president of the board of directors. “She is a proven leader who ispassionate about growing and developing individuals and teams, which is invaluable in moving forward.”
Davis’ professional background includes more than 10 years “working within hospitals in business development and executive-level roles,” WVC reported.
“Before entering health care administration, Davis spent several years in pharmaceutical/biotech sales and managed care,” WVC added.
The 2020 WVC conference is set for Feb. 16 to 19 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The organization also provides year-round continuing education opportunities.
