Southern Veterinary Partners, a rapidly expanding hospital management company based in Birmingham, Alabama, has acquired numbers 49 and 50.
The newest members are Tender Paws Animal Hospital in Conroe, Texas, and Crossroads Animal Hospital in Newnan, Georgia.
Founded in 2014, Southern Veterinary Partners acquired 22 hospitals in 2017, ending the year with 39.
The company’s 50 hospitals are spread across 10 states. Tender Paws is the fifth Southern Veterinary Partners hospital in Texas and Crossroads is the sixth in Georgia.
The growth shows no sign of slowing.

The Birmingham Business Journal has recognized Southern Veterinary Partners as one of the city’s 30 fastest-growing companies.
Southern Veterinary Partners leaves the staff, hospital name and culture in place when it takes over a hospital. Marketing, human resources, finance and other responsibilities are handled at the corporate level.
