Jay Price, DVM, who has seen his company, Southern Veterinary Partners, grow from three practices in 2014 to 65 today, has been named a Rising Star by a national publisher.
The Business Journals, a network of 40 publications, identified what it called “100 younger executives who already are having an impact on business being done in communities across the nation.” The honorees ranged from a founding dean at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota to a senior vice president at Bank of America.
Dr. Price, the only veterinarian on the list, was previously named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 list for 2018.
He serves as CEO of Southern Veterinary Partners, a hospital consolidator with practices in 10 states and headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. The company’s rapid expansion followed a 2014 investment deal with Chicago-based Shore Capital Partners.
