Pathway Vet Alliance is going on a hiring spree in an attempt to fill hundreds of positions at the veterinary hospitals it manages and at its Austin, Texas, headquarters.
The company has openings for more than 175 veterinarians at hospitals located from Hawaii to Massachusetts as well as for practice managers and support staff. In Austin, jobs are available in business development, human resources, information technology, practice management and marketing.
Pathway added 55 hospitals to its network in 2018 and now has close to 200 nationwide and a total of 4,500 employees.
“Our continued growth over the last few years has been extraordinary, and we remain committed to investing in our existing team members and creating new career opportunities nationwide,” talent director Renee Harbour said. “Pathway is a conduit for people who want to practice their passion and help make an impact in the veterinary industry.”
Pathway isn’t the only hospital chain advertising “Help Wanted.” The American Veterinary Medical Association reported last fall that as pet ownership numbers and veterinary spending increase, the industry has “more jobs than there are applicants applying for those positions.”
