Nestlé Purina PetCare has introduced a wet, chicken-flavored variety of HA Hydrolyzed, a Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets formula for dogs.
The new canned diet contains hydrolyzed chicken liver. It and two existing dry choices — HA Hydrolyzed Chicken Flavor and HA Hydrolyzed Vegetarian — are formulated to help minimize adverse food reactions, the manufacturer reported.
Among the indications for all three diets are food-allergic gastroenteritis and dermatitis, food intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease, lymphangiectasia, protein-losing enteropathy, pancreatitis and malabsorption.
The canned and kibble diets feature hydrolyzed protein and low-allergen carbohydrate sources to help minimize the risk of allergic reaction, Nestlé Purina stated.
