Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

The pet health insurance company Petplan has been named a preferred provider of the American Animal Hospital Association.
Petplan joins about a dozen other companies, including Bank of America for practice financing and MWI Animal Health for veterinary drugs and supplies, that have AAHA’s stamp of approval.
“Pet health insurance is important because it offers pet owners and practice teams another way to manage the cost of veterinary care and help pets get the care they need,” said AAHA’s CEO, Michael Cavanaugh, DVM, DABVP (Emeritus). “At the end of the day, this helps reduce strain in the veterinary practice while simultaneously increasing pets’ access to care.”

The company is headquartered in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
