Nutramax Laboratories Veterinary Sciences Inc. is expanding its Imuquin line with the launch of Imuquin Cat, an immune health supplement for cats 6 weeks or older.
The introduction of Imuquin Cat, which can be sprinkled on food, comes weeks after the unveiling of Imuquin and Imuquin Puppy.
Imuquin Cat contains NMX580, a combination of beta-glucan and omega-3 fatty acids, along with vitamins and minerals that support immune health, the Lancaster, South Carolina, company reported.
“The omega-3 fatty acids help to support a healthy immune system through their antioxidant potential and may support the nervous system and retinal development,” Nutramax stated.
The company’s professional services veterinarian, Eric Shreves, DVM, said the product “has huge potential for use in practice with the volume of cats and kittens veterinarians see weekly, if not daily, that present with weakened immune systems secondary to disease, environment or a combination of the two.”
Imuquin Cat is available in cartons containing 30 single-serving flavored powder packets.
