Nutramax Laboratories Veterinary Sciences, Inc. has announced Consil Matrix and Consil Matrix Topical Cream, veterinary wound care products for dogs, cats, and horses.
According to the company, Consil Matrix is an extracellular matrix-inspired wound care product that can be used to help control bleeding and support tissue repair. The product’s silica-based, scaffold-like structure promotes fibrin deposition and clot formation. The multilayered product can be separated to allow for application at an appropriate thickness to protect healing tissue, maintain moisture, and support tissue growth and vascularization.
“Veterinary wound management can be challenging, and having effective, easy-to-use options available is important for veterinary professionals,” said Dr. Todd Henderson, Nutramax president and CEO. “Consil Matrix represents an opportunity for Nutramax to expand its support of veterinarians into an important new area of animal health.”
The company also introduced Consil Matrix Topical Cream, a non-medicated moisturizing cream that can be used for routine skin conditioning.
