Shor-Line, a 74-year-old manufacturer of animal cages and veterinary tables, has been acquired by Midmark Corp. Terms were not disclosed.
Midmark, a major equipment manufacturer and service provider in the veterinary, human medicine and dental channels, credited Shor-Line with “a long history of customer service, innovation and high-quality equipment.”
“The culture and values of Shor-Line very much reflect that of Midmark, and we are excited to welcome them to the Midmark team,” said Jon Wells, president and CEO of Midmark. “Together, we can be a strong partner for our customers, offering the new approaches, innovative technologies and proven solutions they need while working with them to create a better care experience for pets and their owners.”
Shor-Line, headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas, also specializes in scales, surgery tables, anesthesia machines and lights. The privately owned firm’s official name is Schroer Manufacturing Co.
Midmark, which is based in Dayton, Ohio, acquired Mason Co., a maker of kennel systems and grooming tables, in 2019.
