Merck Animal Health has announced the U.S. availability of NOBIVAC NXT 1-Rabies and NOBIVAC NXT 3-Rabies, a new line of vaccines for healthy dogs and cats 12 weeks of age or older.
According to the company, the vaccine portfolio provides options for one- or three-year rabies protection. The vaccines are non-adjuvanted and free of preservatives, antibiotics, and thimerosal. The 0.5-mL dose “supports comfort and convenience during routine preventive care,” said Dr. Laura Greene, a Merck Animal Health internal medicine specialist.
