The NAVC’s vice president of exhibit sales and operations has been named one of Germinder and Associates’ Power of Pink honorees.

The award is being bestowed on 20 people in celebration of the New York public relation firm’s 20th anniversary and to recognize the recipients’ inspirational stories.

The first winner was veterinary behavior consultant Debra F. Horwitz, DVM, DACVB. The NAVC’s Manolita Moore, MBA, is the first non-veterinarian honoree.

“I’ve worked with Manolita in countless scenarios for almost two decades — as a client, as an agency representing major exhibitors, to being a client exhibiting at VMX,” said the firm’s founder and president, Lea-Ann Germinder. “Manolita is always seeking innovative solutions to seemingly impossible tasks. And she approaches it all with her warm, friendly demeanor.”

Moore joined the NAVC in May 2017. She previously worked nearly 17 years as chief operations officer for WVC in Las Vegas.

“Being one of the Power of Pink Honorees is a major honor, especially as a non-veterinarian,” Moore said. “I am extremely humbled and honored to be in the same company with other honorees whose accomplishments are far greater and significant than mine.”

Besides Dr. Horwitz and Moore, other winners have included Heidi Lobprise, DVM, DAVDS, of Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dogs; Elizabeth Colleran, DVM, MS, DABVP, of the Winn Feline Foundation; and Dan Richardson, DVM, DACVS, of Stormont-Vail Foundation Care Line.

The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) publishes Today’s Veterinary Business.
