Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

The Bridge Club, which has brought together more than 1,200 veterinary professionals for conversation and networking, is celebrating its one-year anniversary by offering a $20.19 yearlong membership.
Founded by marketing veterans Catherine Haskins and Brenda Andresen, The Bridge Club holds 30-minute virtual meetings on current topics and schedules get-togethers at industry events.
“We resonate with the profession because our conversations are truly unique, and we encourage everyone to be authentically themselves whether you have a baby in your arms, are sitting on the floor of your practice or are coming off a 12-hour shift,” Haskins said.
Among the topics to be tackled in 2019 are the diagnostic challenges associated with Cushing’s disease, the dog shortage, opioid diversion and cannabis.
While online talks are free to anyone, the special $20.19 membership fee, down from $95 a year, delivers archived conversations and invitations to exclusive events.
“We put the priority on the conversation rather than the presentation,” Andresen said. “In fact, we do not allow PowerPoints and we don’t offer CE credit. You don’t take a PowerPoint to a dinner party, do you? Our goal is to inspire professionals through connections and conversations, and that makes our community unique in its approach.”
