The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) has awarded longtime Today’s Veterinary Business columnist Dr. Peter Weinstein its 2026 President’s Award.
According to the VHMA, the award recognizes members who enact positive change and bolster the association’s standing within the profession. A VHMA member since 1991, Dr. Weinstein has operated multiple business ventures, including Simple Solutions for Vets and PAW Consulting. He has also served as president of the California Veterinary Medical Association, the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, and VetPartners. Dr. Weinstein teaches business and finance at the Veterinary College of Western University of Health Sciences and authored “The EMyth Veterinarian.”
Throughout his career, Dr. Weinstein has championed the integration of trained business professionals into clinical environments to support practice health. Highlighting the value of the VHMA’s certification program, Dr. Weinstein stated in the release, “I truly believe that veterinarians are best served by teaming up with a great manager, preferably a CVPM.”
