Rather than automating front-desk roles, SPOT uses a human-in-the-loop approach. According to the company, it equips staff with structured veterinary logic and a built-in toxin calculator, helping them ask the right questions, identify clinical red flags, and accurately prioritize patient care urgency during initial client calls.
Instinct Launches Clinical AI Assistant
Instinct Science has introduced Attending, a clinical artificial intelligence assistant designed for veterinarians. According to Instinct, the tool draws exclusively from peer-reviewed literature, including Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs, to provide instant responses with verifiable inline citations. Attending is currently in an invitation-only preview phase. Instinct plans to release it as a standalone product and an integrated feature within its electronic medical record software in the coming months.
