Today’s Veterinary Business, an official journal of the NAVC, has opened calls for submissions for its 2027 editorial lineup. Veterinary and industry professionals are invited to submit topic ideas via an online form. A separate form must be completed for each topic. Submissions are due June 15, 2026.
Tractor Supply Acquires VIP Petcare
Tractor Supply Company has acquired VIP Petcare, the largest provider of mobile veterinary care in the United States, from PetIQ. VIP Petcare operates community clinics in approximately 2,700 retail locations across 39 states, including 1,700 Tractor Supply stores, serving more than one million pets annually. The acquisition integrates VIP Petcare’s clinic network with Tractor Supply’s Allivet digital pharmacy and Neighbor’s Club loyalty program. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Wag Trendz Launches Cooling Dog Harness
Austin-based dog gear brand Wag Trendz has launched NeoCool, a patent-pending cooling harness engineered with passive airflow technology. Unlike traditional cooling vests that require soaking, the harness is designed to work dry via a perforated construction and breathable mesh interior. According to the company, third-party lab testing found the harness reduced heat and moisture retention by 85% or more compared to traditional harnesses. NeoCool starts at $46.
