Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

The Royal Canin Women’s Veterinary Leadership Forum will kick off the week of Oct. 12 with the “Know Your Worth” webinar series featuring Drs. Amanda Donnelly, Joy Fuhrman and Jessica Vogelsang.
The Women’s Veterinary Leadership Forum had its inaugural event in 2019. Each year, the presentations are designed to develop leaders for the benefit of the veterinary profession and to specifically address women needing to be better represented in leadership roles within the profession and industry.
“There is something very powerful about women recognizing their value through taking ownership of their personal stories and their own unique style of leadership,” said Laura Pletz, DVM, scientific services manager at Royal Canin. “This series will be an amazing exploration of that important process.”
The guest speakers have diverse backgrounds and experiences to contribute to series of webinar events.
On Oct. 12 and Nov. 9, Dr. Fuhrman will present “Finding Common Ground for the Common Good.” Dr. Fuhrman has extensive experience in financial consulting and corporate accounting. A graduate of Colorado State University’s combined MBA/DVM program, she brings with her a combination of veterinary practice management, financial analysis, business valuation, professional development, and leadership training skills.
On Oct. 21 and Oct. 22, Dr. Donnelly will present “The Link Between Success and Living Your Core Values.” Dr. Donnelly is a speaker, business consultant and second-generation veterinarian. She is the author of “101 Practice Management Questions Answered” and writes the Today’s Veterinary Business column “Talk the Talk.”
On Nov. 10 and Nov. 16, Dr. Vogelsang will share “The Irresistible Magic of Storytelling: How Women Tell Stories that Empower, Impact and Change the World.” Dr. Vogelsang is a San Diego veterinarian, author and the founder of the Facebook group Veterinary Telemedicine Community. She is also the founder of Pawcurious, one of the first veterinary-authored sites on the web.
