GuardianVets, a provider of after-hours triage support for veterinary practices, has surpassed 2.5 million handled cases.
According to the company, the service uses U.S.-based credentialed veterinary technicians (CVTs) to field after-hours client calls, follow practice-specific protocols, and schedule follow-up care directly into a clinic’s practice management software.
The company highlighted the business implications of 24/7 accessibility, noting that approximately 34% of its after-hours clinical calls result in a primary care appointment rather than an emergency room visit. This patient capture occurs as the industry faces a national decline in veterinary visits.
John Dillon, GuardianVets CEO, stated that beyond capturing revenue, after-hours support is critical for client retention. “In a market where price sensitivity is rising, and switching practices has never been easier, the practices that build and preserve the strongest client relationships will win over the long term,” he said.
