Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

VIP Petcare will open its 10th Wellness Center on Jan. 8 inside a Pet Supplies Plus store in Toledo, Ohio.
The permanent location is different from VIP’s common approach: pop-up veterinary clinics at hundreds of feed and pet stores in 31 states. The short-term Community Clinics focus on vaccinations, microchipping and nail trims, while Wellness Centers offer additional services such as physical exams and comprehensive health panels.
Wellness Centers are open from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday inside partner pet retailers. No appointments are necessary, and payment is by credit card only.
Of VIP’s 10 Wellness Centers, eight are in California and the ninth is in Lyndhurst, Ohio.
The company is based in Windsor, California.
