VHMA launches online test preparation course
The program is aimed at hospitals managers and those on the path to certification.
The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association is introducing an online study group designed to help managers prepare for the VHMA certification exam or refine their skills.
Nine study sessions will be held on consecutive Saturdays from June 2 to July 21, 2018, and last 90 minutes each.
Led by facilitator Jessie Merritt, CVPM, each meeting will include:
- An assignment in the certified veterinary practice manager preparation workbook.
- Reading assignments.
- Post-section quizzes.
The course will cover human resources, law and ethics, marketing, organization of the practice, and finance.
VHMA stated that it recommends the program for “veterinary practice managers preparing for the CVPM examination, new managers looking for a comprehensive introduction to management concepts, and experienced managers interested in a thorough review and update of management principles.”
