Vetsource has expanded its prescription delivery infrastructure by opening a fourth pet pharmacy facility. The new Atlanta location joins the company’s existing distribution hubs in Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The expansion specifically targets shipping efficiency for the Southeast, which the company identified as one of its largest regional markets.
Using advanced order routing systems, the Atlanta pharmacy is projected to process 1,500 items per day during its first month. The facility is designed to scale its operations to handle 12,000 daily orders by the end of its first year.
Yili Malech, vice president of pharmacy operations at Vetsource, stated in the release that the new facility represents the company’s “fastest ramp-up of any pharmacy location to date.” Highlighting the logistical strategy, Malech noted that the expanded operational footprint allows the digital platform to “get significantly closer to our customers,” reducing prescription delivery times for veterinary clients and supporting future network growth.
