Nestlé Purina PetCare has released a veterinary-exclusive treat formulated to assist with feline urinary health.
The new product, Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Urinary Health, contains corn gluten meal, chicken and poultry by-product meal, among other ingredients.
“When fed in conjunction with UR Urinary St/Ox feline formula, these treats can help reduce the risk of both struvite and calcium oxalate stone recurrence and support urinary health,” Purina reported.
The liver-flavored treats are sold in 1.8-ounce pouches.
Purina recommends giving a cat up to two of the treats for each 1 pound of body weight but no more than 20 treats a day.
