Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Centaur Services aims to better equip veterinarians in northern England, North Wales and Scotland when the distributor opens a warehouse in the Midlands.
The launch of a second warehouse, scheduled for spring 2018, could serve physicians at some point. Centaur, whose parent company, AmerisourceBergen, is one of the world’s largest drug wholesalers, reported Dec. 8 that the facility will be “fully licensed for the wholesale distribution of veterinary and human medicines.”
The 180,100-square-foot warehouse will stock more than 13,000 veterinary products.
“Our expanded presence and capabilities in the U.K. is a reflection of the demand for high-quality solutions, and we’re growing to best meet our customers’ needs,” said Brian Topper, managing director of AmerisourceBergen Animal Health U.K. “Practices of all sizes rely on us to provide them with timely access to the products they need on a daily basis.”
Centaur’s other warehouse is located in the southwest English town of Castle Gary.
The company was acquired in 2010 by MWI Veterinary Supply, which 4½ years later was purchased by AmerisourceBergen.
