CVS Group, owner of the United Kingdom’s largest veterinary hospital network, has expanded its equine division through the acquisition of B&W Equine Vets.
B&W, with a referral hospital near Gloucestershire, England, and three satellite clinics, calls itself the largest specialist equine veterinary group in the southwestern United Kingdom. B&W employs 30 veterinarians.
The CVS equine operation has more than 30 sites under director Ben Jacklin, MA, VetMB, MVetMed, DECVS.
“Our equine division has grown rapidly over the last 18 months because we offer an ambitious and exciting vision for the future of equine practice,” CEO Simon Innes said. “B&W is one of the U.K.’s premier equine practices.”
CVS operates more than 430 veterinary practices across the U.K. and the Netherlands as well as four diagnostic laboratories.
Terms of the transaction were not announced.
