A Chicago practitioner has joined Trupanion Inc. as the pet health insurer’s appeals specialist in charge of overseeing complicated claims.
Caroline Wilde, DVM, moves to the Seattle company, the nation’s second-largest insurer, from Portage Park Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic.
Trupanion reported that Dr. Wilde “will be a go-to for complex case reviews, including those sent to an independent panel of veterinary specialists for third-party assessment.”
“Wilde will play an integral role presenting on medical topics, connecting with treating veterinarians and participating in discussions around Trupanion’s product and condition coverage.”
The North Caroline State University graduate has an animal welfare background, most recently with the no-kill PAWS Chicago shelter.
“Caroline brings terrific field experience and is a great addition to our other on-staff veterinarians,” said Trupanion’s chief veterinary officer, Steve Weinrauch, BVMS, MRCVS.
