SunTech Medical Inc. has updated its line of battery-powered veterinary blood pressure monitors with the introduction of the Vet25 and Vet30 models.
Unveiled in July at the American Veterinary Medical Association convention, the portable monitors are virtually noiseless so as not to startle nervous patients, the Morrisville, North Carolina, company reported. Alarms and audible indicators may be turned off, SunTech added.
The 2.1-pound Vet25 is designed for continuous blood pressure and heart rate monitoring in exam or operating rooms. The 2.65-pound Vet30 also provides oxygen saturation and temperature readings.
The rechargeable units may be programmed to provide automatic readings at preset intervals, SunTech noted. Bluetooth connectivity allows for the wireless transfer of data to practice software.
