Goodbye, Purchasing Services Inc. Hello, PSIvet.
The St. Petersburg, Florida, group purchasing organization has shortened its name to reflect offerings in the areas of education, training, benchmark data and technology. PSIvet, whose membership consists of 5,000 independent veterinary practices, will continue to negotiate discounted prices on selected vendors’ pharmaceuticals, supplies and services.
“By adding these new programs and services for our membership, we will be able to provide independent veterinary practices a one-stop resource for building a better business and competing with corporate entities and online retailers,” PSIvet President Patrick McCarthy said.
“The new name change and the expansion of our service lines are focused entirely on helping veterinary practices succeed.”
PSIvet also unveiled a new website: psivet.com.
