Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

The hospital management group Pathway Vet Alliance has surpassed 150 locations with the acquisition of more clinics in the third quarter of 2018.
Supported by a deep-pocketed investment firm, Morgan Stanley Global Private Equity, the company reported that 15 veterinary practices were added from July through September in Arkansas, California, Illinois, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Texas and Washington. Year to date, Pathway took full or partial ownership of 37 hospitals.
“Throughout this year, we’ve remained committed to expanding our network of hospitals to new communities across the U.S.,” said CEO Stephen Hadley, DVM. “These efforts have allowed us to help more pets and provide pet owners with unparalleled care options.
“We have exceeded our own expectations during the third quarter and hope to continue this success as we close out this year.”
Founded in 2003 with one hospital, the Austin, Texas-based consolidator acquired nearly 100 clinics in 2017 alone.
