The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association has scheduled a one-day workshop designed to teach practice managers to better understand clinic financial reports.
“Mastering the Profit and Loss Statement” will be presented in five cities by Carol Hurst, LVT, CVPM, CVJ, and Amy Kelley-Williams, MBA, CVPM.
The program will kick off Jan. 10, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas, followed by June 7 in Indianapolis, Sept. 11 in Philadelphia and Nov. 7 in Portland, Oregon. The date of an April class in Atlanta has not been set.
Attendees can earn six continuing education hours.
The program will cover:
- Understanding the budgeting process, including benchmarks, profit and loss statements, and a practice’s operating history.
- Evaluating revenue, expenses and income.
- Setting goals to improve skills, systems and attitudes.
