Midmark Corp. has launched the Midmark Multiparameter Monitor for use during patient exams, treatment, surgery and recovery.
The monitor includes a 12.1-inch LCD touch-sensitive screen, Cardell blood pressure technology, veterinary-specific algorithms, a pre-procedure checklist, a carbon dioxide soda lime absorbent reminder, and ECG and CO2 waveform libraries.
“When you question a waveform, you can quickly — with one touch — scroll to match patterns of common anesthetic occurrences and identify possible problems,” the company stated.
The monitor weighs 9.2 pounds and allows for an optional printer or optional invasive blood pressure and printer.
In other news, the company announced that Karl Weidner, vice president of Midmark’s global supply chain, plans to retire by year’s end. Weidner started as a Midmark industrial engineer 40 years ago and later held the titles of plant manager, director of service and quality, and vice president of manufacturing.
“Helping implement the Midmark Production System is only one of Weidner’s many successful accomplishments during his tenure,” the Dayton, Ohio, company reported.
