An integrative medicine practitioner is breaking ground on a Louisiana veterinary hospital that will offer acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, food therapy, canine rehabilitation and day care.
Ashley Geoghegan, DVM, CVA, CVFT, CVCH, the owner of VetNaturally, has been seeing patients at Mandeville Animal Hospital, across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans. The Louisiana State University veterinary school graduate reported that she needs more space and has dreamed for years of opening her own holistic animal hospital.
The new hospital will be called VetNaturally, the same name as a line of essential oils that she designs and sells.
“My patients’ families expect a level of care that mirrors their high-profile lifestyles,” said Dr. Geoghegan, also known as Dr. G. “This will indeed become the premier veterinary medicine facility in Mandeville. We have one focus: to provide long and happy lives for our patients through natural medicine.”
The groundbreaking is scheduled for March 8.
