Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Kindred Biosciences Inc., developer of the feline weight-loss management drug Mirataz, has launched an educational website designed for veterinary professionals and pet owners.
KINections provides information not only about unintended weight loss in cats, but also about atopic dermatitis and inflammatory bowel disease in dogs and fever and metabolic syndrome in horses — four of the numerous conditions that KindredBio is focusing on in its product pipeline.
KINections, available at kinections.kindredbio.com, “gives veterinarians access to educational information on disease states for feline, canine and equine topics related to our business,” said Valentine Williams DVM, MS, DACVS, director of veterinary affairs with KindredBio.
“Veterinarians can feel confident directing pet owners to a library of trustworthy information and help them get involved with their pet’s health,” Dr. Williams said.
The resources include brochures, videos and white papers.
Continuing education modules designed for veterinarians, technicians and veterinary staff are planned.
