Veterinary hospital owner Innovetive Petcare has grown to 14 practices with the purchase of Austin Animal Medical Center in Texas.
The acquisition, announced Aug. 16, gives Innovetive its eighth Texas hospital. The newest member of the Innovetive network was purchased from husband-and-wife veterinarians and Tuskegee University graduates Gregg Farmer, DVM, and Loretta Farmer, DVM.
The Farmers will stay with the practice as Innovetive focuses on back-office responsibilities such as human resources, payroll, marketing, accounting and purchasing.
“Animal Medical Center has been a staple in the Austin community for over 25 years, and we look forward to helping them continue that tradition for many years to come,” said Innovetive’s president and CEO, Mark Ziller.
Innovetive Petcare is headquartered in Cedar Park, Texas.
