Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Wellness plans are a key feature of the upgraded ImproMed and ImproMed Equine veterinary practice management software platforms.
The version 6.0 enhancement, announced Nov. 10, is designed to support preventive medicine and improve a clinic’s bottom line, Henry Schein Veterinary Solutions reported.
“Unlike other wellness plan programs, the selling prices of wellness plans in ImproMed are set by adding together the individual selling prices of all products and services that are part of the plans,” the Melville, N.Y., division of Henry Schein Inc. stated. “When the inventory cost of a product changes, the selling price of the plan is automatically adjusted for all future clients who select that plan. This makes it easier to measure and protect profitability.”
The software permits clients to schedule smaller, recurring payments for a wellness care plan rather than pay upfront, and it prompts clinic staff to forward-book appointments.
Improvements were made to other sections as well, such as accounts receivable, estimates and invoices, medical records, inventory management and accounting.
