Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

eVetPractice, a family-run provider of cloud-based practice management software for veterinary clinics, has been acquired by Henry Schein Inc.
The transaction was announced Dec. 18. Terms were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Athens, Georgia, eVetPractice was founded in 2011 by computer science engineer Eddie Heinz. His wife, Stephanie Heinz, is the company’s sales manager, and his sister-in-law, Kristen Arp, DVM, is employed as a veterinary consultant. Dr. Arp owns Bay Creek Mobile Veterinary Services in Loganville, Georgia.
eVetPractice has 900 customers, Henry Schein reported.
Eddie Heinz will continue to oversee eVetPractice and will join the Henry Schein Veterinary Solutions (HSVS) executive team.
“In 2018, the eVetPractice software will be offered to current Henry Schein Veterinary Solutions customers as an option to move to the cloud,” Heinz said. “We will integrate the HSVS solutions into the eVetPractice software to bring those market-leading solutions to current and future eVetPractice customers.”
Henry Schein Veterinary Solutions, part of Henry Schein Animal Health, has offices in Missouri, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
