Fetch Pet Insurance announced the launch of Fetch Online Vet, which the company describes as a first-of-its-kind virtual veterinary care experience. Powered by pet health platform Vetster, the new service is available exclusively to Fetch Pet members through the app at no additional cost.
Fetch Pet members are allotted four video appointments with Vetster veterinarians per year and unlimited chats with veterinary professionals to address questions and concerns. Members can use the platform for issues appropriate for virtual visits, such as minor health concerns, teletriage, prescription refills, and nutrition or behavior questions.
According to Vetster’s chief growth officer, Kristen Johnson, adding Vetster to the Fetch experience means “veterinary support is there as soon as a member notices something, whether they need reassurance, treatment where appropriate, or guidance on when it’s time to head to a clinic.”
No upfront cost is required for visits, and members don’t have to file a claim afterward. Fetch Pet and Vetster track the member’s visits against their annual allotment and the $1,000 annual limit for televet service.
