Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

A new Raleigh, North Carolina, veterinary hospital will say hello to its neighbors by hosting a public party complete with food and live music.
The open house at Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital is scheduled for Oct. 5. Guided tours of the 10,000-square-foot facility will take visitors through the clinic and the day care, boarding and grooming areas.
“We worked closely with our architect firm to design a modern and innovative facility for pet owners in the downtown Raleigh and adjacent neighborhoods,” said George Ghneim, DVM, Ph.D. “Clients will benefit from comprehensive medical care, state-of-the-art diagnostic services, advanced technologies, as well as our new offerings of a pet resort with day care and boarding services.”
Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital is part of the North Carolina-based management company Vets Pets. Besides the new South Saunders location, which is set to open Sept. 23, Oak Heart operates clinics in the Longview and Dixie Trail neighborhoods.
The open house, dubbed Barktoberfest, will feature complimentary drinks and food from local restaurants. Dogs will chow down on treats from Woof Gang Bakery, and their owners will go home with a coupon good for a free pet wellness exam.
