Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Lincoln Memorial University is partnering with the Ethos Veterinary Health hospital network to supplement veterinary student education.
The long-distance arrangement, announced March 20, will see Ethos clinicians conducting virtual case-based rounds with students enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
“These rounds allow the LMU students to gain proficiency in clinical reasoning through case discussions,” said Linda Fineman, DVM, DACVIM, vice president of learning and development at Ethos. “At the same time, having the opportunity to give back to the next generation of veterinarians is very rewarding for our clinicians.”
Ethos is the Massachusetts-based parent company of 14 veterinary hospitals in New England, Chicago, Denver and San Diego. Ethos offers RACE-approved courses to the industry through the company’s VetBloom online education platform.
Lincoln Memorial, located in Harrogate, Tennessee, also noted that the partnership will allow for shared research on educational outcomes and the advancement of simulations in clinical education.
“This partnership is a living manifestation of our mutual commitment to advance veterinary learning by leveraging robust partnerships, rich technology, and succinct learning outcomes,” said the college’s dean, Jason Johnson, DVM, MS, DACT. “It is, indeed, the future of education.”
