Embrace Pet Insurance is offering electronic claims submissions for veterinary practices through a new web-based app called Embrace360.
Integrated into practice management systems such as Cornerstone, AVImark, ImproMed and IntraVet, the app is designed to eliminate paperwork. The app also emails pet insurance quotes to clients.
The Cleveland-based insurer reported Jan. 8 that it is “the only pet insurance provider that offers electronic claims submission for both insurance coverage and wellness care, and the Embrace team is currently beta-testing direct payment to the veterinary hospital for wellness claims.”
Direct reimbursement for accident and illness claims is in the planning stage.
The company insured more than 110,000 dogs and cats in 2017.
