Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Two hospital networks — Community Veterinary Partners and CityVet — have added one location each with the acquisition of Village Animal Clinic in North Palm Beach, Florida, and the opening of a CityVet clinic in suburban Dallas.
Philadelphia-based Community Veterinary Partners (CVP) purchased Village Animal Clinic from husband-and-wife owners Michael Berkenblit, DVM, and Melisa Degen, DVM, DACVIM, who will continue as practitioners and day-to-day managers.
Village Animal Clinic, with four doctors and 6,500 square feet of space, offers common veterinary services as well as acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. It became CVP’s 32nd hospital and the first in Florida.
CityVet’s new location is in Bedford, part of the Mid-Cities region between Dallas and Fort Worth. The hospital, CityVet’s 10th, is managed by equity partner Austin Neely, DVM, who worked at CityVet clinics in Dallas and Flower Mound, Texas.
Each CityVet location offers veterinary care, grooming and boarding, and a pet products store.
