Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

A network of after-hours veterinary hospitals will work closely with Improve International Australia to enhance the continuing education provider’s online and onsite courses.
Animal Emergency Australia, which operates hospitals on the nation’s east coast and in Perth, will help develop and grow educational courses for Australian veterinarians and veterinary nurses.
“We see continuing education as vital to the development of vets and nurses and to the provision of quality patient care,” said Rob Webster, BVSc, FANZCVS (Emergency and Critical Care), who serves on Animal Emergency Australia’s executive team.
Improve International, which calls itself the largest CE provider in Europe, expanded to Australia in 2014.
“One of our biggest tasks is ensuring our content remains current, practical and of the highest standard,” said the company’s managing director, Brooke Sheehan, BVSc. “The relationship with AEA will allow us to keep our finger on the industry’s pulse and to leverage the extensive experience and knowledge of the vets and nurses within AEA.”
The agreement is effective Jan. 1, 2019.
