Pet owners using an updated CareCredit mobile app can locate veterinary practices that accept the credit card, pay their bill and even log in with Face ID.
Users don’t have to show their card at checkout but instead can access a digital card on their smartphone or mobile device, according to the Costa Mesa, California, company.
“These enhancements to our mobile app provide CareCredit cardholders a useful and accessible tool to help make those important financial decisions faster and easier,” said Dave Fasoli, executive vice president and CEO.
Enhanced security controls include device authentication and Face ID.
“App users can enable Face ID in their settings and then log in via facial recognition instead of fingerprint or using their username/password for added peace of mind,” the company stated.
CareCredit finances health care services in the veterinary, human medicine and dentistry professions.
