An executive with parent company Mars Inc. has joined Banfield Pet Hospital’s senior leadership team as chief financial officer.
Ludek Janousek moved from Singapore, where he served as Mars Petcare’s regional vice president of finance, to Banfield’s headquarters in Vancouver, Washington.
“When I joined Mars Petcare four years ago, its dedication to creating a better world for pets resonated with me,” Janousek said. “Marrying that commitment with passionate and proud associates makes Banfield an exciting practice to join, learn from and contribute to in support of our shared purpose.”
In other news announced Aug. 20, Banfield hired Lisa Stewart-Brown as the mental health services program manager, a new position on the health and wellbeing team.
“As part of the practice’s holistic approach to health and wellbeing, Lisa will be responsible for developing and implementing mental health strategies and initiatives that not only support the emotional and mental health of Banfield associates but also reinforce our commitment to leading a health and wellbeing culture for our associates and the profession,” the company stated.
