BabelBark sets sights on international markets
The software company moves into several English-speaking countries.
BabelBark, whose mobile app connects dog owners with veterinarians and pet service providers, is pursuing business opportunities overseas.
The Newton, Massachusetts, company reported Dec. 12 that its mobile app and software platforms will be offered in Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
“After targeting 85 million pet-owning families in the U.S. and Canada, our rollout of BabelBark to English-speaking territories across the globe will unlock a huge potential for pet parents worldwide,” said co-founder Bill Rebozo, MBA. “No matter where the pet parent is located, in the U.S., U.K. or another country, they can easily find pet-related services nearby with the swipe of a finger. In addition, when pet owners travel abroad with their pet, they can rest easier with our new global footprint.”
BabelBark’s products include:
- The BabelBark mobile app, through which dog owners can manage their pet’s veterinary records and medications, schedule veterinary appointments, and share diet and activity data with a BabelVet-using veterinarian.
- BabelVet, a platform that integrates with a veterinarian’s practice management software.
- BizBark, which links BabelBark users with participating service providers such as groomers, walkers and boarding facilities.
BabelBark was founded in 2015 by Rebozo and Roy Stein. The company’s chief veterinary officer is Kerri Marshall, DVM, MBA.
