Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

“Send me to Denver, please.”
The American Veterinary Medical Association has created a fill-in-the-blank letter that veterinarians can present to their boss when they ask to attend the organization’s 2018 convention.
The 450-word document, available at http://bit.ly/2i3CrGh, notes that the convention “offers me the chance to earn more than 40 hours of CE credit” and “is a great way for me to stay ahead of the curve on all the cutting-edge research and best practices that we can incorporate into our own services.”
The convention will take place July 13 to 17 at the Colorado Convention Center.
Petitioners can estimate costs in a section that breaks down the registration fee, airfare, and hotel, transportation and meal charges. An Excel worksheet is available to help with the numbers.
The letter ends with the line, “Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to your reply.”
