Abaxis Inc. has been named the official laboratory equipment supplier at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games.
Company representatives will be on the grounds in Tryon, North Carolina, for the duration of the competition. The major international event will be held Sept. 11 to 23.
The Union City, California, company reported that four to six complete laboratory systems will be made available to serve the equine athletes and their handlers. The systems will consist of the:
- VetScan VS2 chemistry analyzer.
- VetScan VSpro specialty analyzer.
- i-STAT Alinity v handheld analyzer.
- HM5 five-part differential hematology analyzer.
The FEI World Equestrian Games, held every four years, consist of eight events: jumping, eventing, vaulting, driving, endurance, reining, dressage and para-dressage. About a half-million people are expected to attend.
