Today’s Veterinary Business Staff

Kentucky practice owner Darren Taul, DVM, assumed the presidency of the American Animal Hospital Association during the organization’s Connexity conference in Denver.
A 1996 Auburn University graduate, Dr. Taul opened AAHA-accredited Animal Hospital of Lancaster in 1999 and bought Animal Hospital of Danville in 2017. He is a member of AAHA-Accredited Veterinary Management Groups, the organization reported, and a facilitator for the AAHA Adventure Series Pack Trips, a Veterinary Management Institute speaker and a consultant for Blue Heron Veterinary Consulting.
Guylaine Charette, DMV, the owner of Pembroke Animal Hospital in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada, was named president-elect and will replace Dr. Taul in September 2019.
Dr. Charette, a 1984 University of Montreal graduate, is an AAHA-Accredited Veterinary Management Groups mentor and an Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals volunteer.
