GoodVets has acquired WellHaven Pet Health, a network of more than 40 veterinary hospitals operating across seven states. The transaction expands GoodVets’ total network from 75 to 116 locations and extends its reach in the Pacific Northwest and Midwest markets. While GoodVets traditionally builds its hospitals from the ground up in partnership with local veterinarians, this acquisition integrates WellHaven’s existing practices into the company’s centralized operational model. The release noted that all acquired locations will transition to the GoodVets brand over time.
GoodVets CEO Ryan Joseph stated that the combined organization will focus on providing clinical teams with “the technology and operating support to spend more time practicing medicine.”
Addressing the operational transition, WellHaven CEO Justin Scambray noted that the acquired hospital teams “will gain access to broader resources and new opportunities to grow while continuing to care for the clients and pets they know so well.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
