International Cat Care (iCatCare) has launched the Cat Behavioural Health Programme, an online, on-demand course designed for veterinary professionals.
According to the company’s release, the four-module program covers feline behavior, from biological and evolutionary factors to individual patient needs across all life stages. The curriculum aims to help professionals assess the emotional state of cats and adapt clinic environments to promote positive behavioral health.
iCatCare noted in its release that more than 70% of cat owners report behavioral problems in their pets. Addressing this gap, Dr. Sarah Ellis, iCatCare’s program director, stated that applying these skills will help professionals “tailor your approach to support the behavioral needs of every cat in your care, improving their mental well-being and long-term welfare.”
All four modules were developed by feline behavior experts and feature interactive case studies. Upon completion of the program, participants earn the title of Cat Behavioural Health Practitioner. The program is currently available for full purchase or on a pay-per-module basis.
