IDEXX Laboratories has introduced the Catalyst proBNP Test, the first point-of-care NT-proBNP test for both cats and dogs. Delivering quantitative results in minutes during patient visits, the biomarker test helps veterinarians evaluate heart disease without waiting for external lab results or immediate referrals. Available on the Catalyst platform, it integrates with routine chemistry workflows to enable earlier diagnosis and treatment. The test launches in North America in October 2026.
Hill’s and HABRI Partner to Advance Human-Animal Bond Research

Gamgee has launched with a $4 million seed round led by Founders Fund to develop personalized canine cancer treatments. The biotech startup leverages genomics, AI, and mRNA technology to create patient-specific vaccines that train the immune system to attack tumor-specific neoantigens. Gamgee is currently conducting clinical studies in Australia in collaboration with veterinary oncologists and leading research institutions.
