WSAVA schedules Virtual Congress 2020
Online learning will be available worldwide in collaboration with The Webinar Vet.
For veterinarians unable to attend the World Small Animal Veterinary Association convention in July, the organization will bring an online version of the event to them.
Virtual Congress 2020 is scheduled for Feb. 1, 2020, and will be free for WSAVA members from developing countries and at a discount for other members.
The offering is in partnership with The Webinar Vet, a Europe-based online veterinary community. On the agenda are webinars focused on topics such as companion animal medicine and surgery, dermatology, emergency medicine and veterinary wellness.
“Increasing access to veterinary CE is the most effective way to advance the skills and knowledge of veterinarians around the world,” said WSAVA President Shane Ryan, BVSc, MVS, CVA, MChiroSc. “Online CE can be an affordable and convenient option for our colleagues in those countries where traditional CE access is limited.”
The Webinar Vet’s founder is British veterinarian Anthony Chadwick, BVSC, Cert VD, MRCVS.
“The Webinar Vet aims to help veterinary health care team members to become more confident in their practice and to fit their learning into a busy life in the profession without having to take time out of work or to travel,” he said.
WSAVA’s 2019 World Congress will take place July 16 to 19 in Toronto, Canada.
